Blogging is a great source of fashion information for this reason. It's grass-roots. It's what's really in.Some of the best movements in design fashion started in grass roots levels in trendy and hip parts of New York, Paris or San Fransisco. Fashion style is a funny thing. Many people think of a fashion show when they think about fashion. But the phenomenon of the fashion game is much more than that. How fashion style is created a perpetuated is actually an amazing process. Sure, we all hear terms like the fashion police help guide what's in and what's not. But that's not really true. Fashion models show us new stuff at fashion shows. Some things from those shows catch, but many do not. Then fashion styles migrate from what they are today toward a new place. Partly based on what the fashion shows present to us, partly based on what people like. Again, the fashion police (big marketers) would you to believe that they alone legislate what fashion style will be in. But that's not how it works. Sure they have an influence on the fashion game, but it's really an integrated process of action and reaction. The fashion shows put out new ideas. Many are rejected. Those fashion styles that do sell, then push the ideas further in that direction. The shows from the next year push it further in that direction, following the sales. So and so forth, fashion style evolves.
