Police radio frequencies |
What are the police radio frequencies? This question comes up all the time. I mean, the police radio frequencies are not encrypted. That means that anyone with a device that can pick them up is able to listen to those. I don't know what the law says about that. Are these not free air waves? Sticky question. I know I saw a legal brief from the State of Florida that was addresses certain restrictions on what you can and can't install related to these police restricted frequencies. I also know there has been huge controversy over the cell phone tapping that the government has been doing.
Here is a chart of frequencies that perhaps will help you out as you research this question.
