The death of Jim Crow laws does not translate into the birth of equality sought by Rosa Parks when she sparked the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott. the 1950s and '60s, Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Brown v the Board of Education, the Woolworth's Sit-ins, the Freedom Riders and so many others battled discrimination and violence.
